France: Car filled with gas cylinders found outside synagogue in Marseilles

The car was found near a synagogue

A week after a car containing seven cylinders of gas was discovered near Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, French authorities have said they have discovered another car filled with gas canisters in Marseilles.

According to local media, a vehicle in which were two gas cylinders was discovered outside the Bar Yohaye synagogue at around 11am.

A service was underway at the synagogue, and police evacuated the area. An investigation is underway.

Last week, a Peugeout containing gas canisters was left across the water from Notre Dame cathedral in Paris in what authorities now believes was an Isis-inspired plot.
