Finally after its almost to late....The UN human rights investigators have for the first time accused so-called Islamic State of committing genocide against Yazidis in Iraq and Syria. One might think that they would have learned a lesson or two about denial of realities that they declared much after a million people died during the genocide in Kigali Rwanda.....But no no lessons learned!
How can SDR say such ? Well the UN them selfs has been "thinking about this matter since 2011". Or in other words it took them 5 years. The text and the link to the original text can be seen below the image.
Do really people be massacred in the millions before the UN reacts `?`
It only takes 20 Palestinians to die and all UN goes up in smoke and explodes like they would be the legal representatives of all Islamists.
In the same time while the UN declares one matter another minority is almost extinct namely the Christians of the ME or other Islamic nations including Turkey! Turn of the century one could find 20% Christians in Turkey and today not even one%
And so finally a after years of studying ....
The UN report says IS has subjected members of the religious group it has captured to the "most horrific of atrocities", killing or enslaving thousands. The group's aim is to completely erase the Yazidi way of life, it warns. The report says major powers should do more to help the Yazidis, at least 3,200 of whom are being held by IS.
IS, a Sunni jihadist group, regards Yazidis as devil-worshippers who may be killed or enslaved with impunity. In August 2014, IS militants swept across north-western Iraq and rounded up thousands of Yazidis living in the Sinjar region, where the majority of the world's Yazidi population was based.
And so the horror story starts ....
Men and boys over the age of 12 were separated from women and girls and shot if they refused to convert "in order to destroy their identity as Yazidis", according to the report by the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria. Women and children often witnessed the killings before being forcibly transferred to locations in Iraq and later Syria, where the majority of the captives remain and are subjected to "almost unimaginable horrors", the report says.
Thousands of women and girls, some as young as nine, were treated as "spoils of war" and openly sold in slave markets or handed over as "gifts" to IS militants.
"Survivors who escaped from [IS] captivity in Syria describe how they endured brutal rapes, often on a daily basis, and were punished if they tried to escape with severe beatings, and sometimes gang rapes," said commissioner Vitit Muntarbhorn.
The commission also heard accounts of how some Yazidi women killed themselves to escape the abuse. Young children bought and held with their mothers are beaten by their owners, and subjected to the same poor living conditions, according to the report.
Yazidi boys older than seven are forcibly removed from their mothers' care and transferred to IS camps, where they are indoctrinated and receive military training.
If any international organisation has overstayed its wellcome as a investigator of human rights abuse then its the sadly mismanaged UN we see today.
Once upon time it was set up with all good intentions but today just as a "reality-check as a matter of fact" we see the massive human rights abuser Saudi Arabia being chosen to lead UN Human Rights.
This is almost a joke and could be compared to A slave power investigating slavery at best.
What we see a gigantic machinery serving as a global reward dump for many elderly politicians and leaders of state. These elderly persons ensure UN its existence today.
